Easter weekend

Whew....what a busy busy weekend!

Saturday was filled with a birthday party for a friend and then volunteering and having fun with friends at an egg hunt.  It was such an awesome experience to watch the kids with special needs be able to enjoy an Easter egg hunt designed just for them. GOD'S LOVE IN ACTION!

Sunday was church time, another egg hunt and then a beautiful afternoon.  Getting Liam dressed for church in his Easter suit made me realize how fast time is flying.  I looked at my little man all grown up.  Made me tear up!

Valentine's weekend

Well this weekend was another busy weekend.

Saturday we went to the local art museum and created a puzzle for YaYa.  Spent some awesome time creating snd enjoying art.  I so hope Liam grows up with a love of art.

Then Sunday was a trip to the Great Train Expo....and if you know Liam...he was in HEAVEN!   It was amazing to see all the various model trains out there.  I absolutely loved watching him with all the amazement and wonder in his eyes.

I also received the best Valentine's a girl could get.  A beautiful card made by my favorite lil guy.

Weekend Ramblings

Well this weekend was a much needed weekend at home.  Laundry was done and I cooked cooked cooked.

My first attempt at ribs was done for the Super Bowl 50 party.  Turned out very tasty I migh add when I tried a bit.  Then Liam and I made a smores casserole that was soooooo yummy but soooooo messy!

Looking forward to a busy week with gym...school....and Valentine's day events.

Be sure and let all those you cherish know how much them mean to you.  Not just on Valentine's day but everyday.

Picnic in the park....zoo fun....school starts monday

Thus weekend we were blessed with gorgeous weather.  I had planned on staying home and doing the dreaded laundry and house cleaning but since it was supposed to be in the mid 70s on Saturday we couldn't pass up the opportunity to enjoy it.

So we headed to the park with friends and enjoyed a picnic of PB&J and ooey gooey brownies.  Then expended some energy running around the playground.

Then headed to one of our favorite places in town...the zoo!  We spent the afternoon spotting eagles, fat frogs, lions, tigers and bears.  Oh my!  (Couldn't resist)

Now today is going to be a day of rest and relaxation because tomorrow is a big day!  We have the first day of a new school...and we are so excited!   New adventures and friends await!

Is Winter over yet????

Well we started off the week with another round of snow....luckily it is not the same as what the NE is dealing with.  I cannot imagine having to deal with that everyday.  We got 5 inches of snow and it was simply gorgeous, and Liam and I took a snow day to enjoy it.

This weekend we are expecting a little more snow and then again the following weekend.  I am fortunate to get to experience all four seasons...but this momma is definitely ready for summer.

Liam also got a new haircut this week...and he was beginning to look like a shaggy dog.  : )
MR HANDSOME

Friday nite was "date night" hehehe.  Liam received a Valentine's Day gift card from his Granny and Pa so we went to McDonald's so he could use it.  Apparently McDonald's is the Friday night hang out.  I can't believe there were so many people there..it is the hip place for date night lol!!

This morning we ventured to our city library and had a wonderful time just looking at all the books and coloring.  Liam, found some great  books to enjoy.  He also loved going in circles on the alphabet and letter rug.  All in all a great Saturday morning.

Hope everyone has a great weekend...now I am off to clean the house....every mom's constant job.

A week of firsts!

This week was a busy week of firsts.  Liam began his first week at daycare or as he likes to call it "school."

Here we are being goofy before we head to his first day of school!  I am sooo very blessed and fortunate to have found him a great place to learn and make new friends.

I worried how he would adjust but my mind was quickly put at ease when he walked in on the first day like he owned the place.  : )

He quickly warmed up to his teachers and was showing her the ropes on how to maneuver around the slide and rock wall.

He also enjoys the arts and crafts that they do everyday.  Somehow I think my refrigerator will be overloaded with pictures and paintings .... and I love it!

We had a wonderful week and I am excited about what the future holds as we are going to be busier and busier with school and upcoming summer sports.

What a ham!!!

Then Saturday morning we spent an hour or so at the local Home Depot making a flower pot.  It was a fabulous way to start our weekend and we will surely be doing this once a month.

Now to enjoy the beautiful weather that is going to be here for a few days....off to the park!!

Wickedly busy Halloween

Well my monkey came home after almost a month with my family.  His babysitter was on maternity leave so he spent the majority of October in Texas.

Our first stop was a trip to Burnet to see his favorite thing on earth...Thomas the Train.  It was also my grandmother's birthday and we spent much of the weekend visiting and watching the kids play and enjoy the train activities.

One of our many family picnics.

Waiting to board Thomas!  He couldn't stop staring at the train.  He was in Heaven!

Then I made the flight home and began my month of silence : ).

I have been exercising and focusing on getting healthier.  Very proud of myself...taking it one day at a time.  Hopefully I am well on my way to making better choices for both me and my son.

Once monkey returned it was a whirlwind...my house was literally hit by Hurricane Liam.    He also enjoyed his new ride outside!!

For Halloween we enjoyed a stroll down Main Street to get candy and a visit to the police department to see rescue vehicles.

Good times were had!! Now we are settling into our routine and getting back to normal.

Heading into my favorite season...the holidays!! Good times ahead!
